Our first game of the new season was played against Dunraven school in the Magazine Cup. A new season means new players, and this year we have 5 new players in the team, 2 players that had only played a couple of times joining 6 more experienced players; a much younger team than usual. The score did not reflect the way that the team played.
Super unlucky with the result, I was really impressed with them all. They showed great team work and I can see already the team has so much potential moving forward.
Players of the match:
Neriah displayed great determination by trying to get the team back into the game. He was very positive with his dribbling skills on the wing taking on players 2 years older than him.
Kyron played his first ever match and Coach Sham can already see he is going to be a key player in the future at St Luke’s. He didn’t stop running and almost had a chance to score his first goal.
Special mention goes to our new defence; Matthew, Amari and Dickson were very solid at the back.
