Reception visit to Battersea Park Zoo

As part of their science curriculum, an educational visit was arranged for learners in Reception to visit Battersea Park Zoo.

Reception learners had a fantastic time and were fortunate as they practically had the whole zoo to themselves. There were plenty of space to see the animals, explore and play. The children were amazing and the staff at the zoo commented on how well they behaved! Thank you to the parents who came along to support them.

The children listened to the story of the Gruffalo and then visited the animals around the zoo to see if they could find the little brown mouse!  When they found the meerkats, they copied their ‘lookout’ position noting how they stand up on their back legs with their heads up.
