Paxton 4 v 0 St Luke’s

Paxton 4 v 0 St Luke’s

Today, marked the end of the football season. Our last match was played against Paxton, who needed to win to clinch the Divison C title.  Congratulations to them and to Globe, who are the C Division’s runners up. That was the last league game for our Yr6 players, and our tallest players!  During the latter games of the season, we have introduced some of youngest players, in preparation for next season.

Player of the match: Amari (pictured and named with permission from his family).

Top Scorer of the season: Matthias

This was St Luke’s second year of playing in a league, using the Sports Grant we fund the football team’s coach, Coach Sham, the league fees, football kits, a football club for the current football team, as well as a football club for pupils in Years 2 and 3 for succession planning.  This year, we have consistently had 2 girls in the team, which is sadly rare in this league.  Thank you to all the players, their families, staff who attend the games, Mr Oladele and Premier Coaching Staff, Coaches Sham and Jayden.
