Safeguarding is very important to us at St. Luke’s School to ensure that our pupils are safe and healthy. Safeguarding includes a wide range of policy and practices to keep children safe from harm; safer recruitment; child protection; bullying; poor behaviour; risk assessments; educational visits; management of medication etc.

Prevent is a government strategy designed to stop people becoming engaged in terrorist activities or supporting terrorist or extremist causes.
The Prevent strategy covers all types of terrorism and extremism, including the extreme right wing, violent Islamist groups and other causes.

Families against Stress and Trauma is a local organisation that supports families against extremism and radicalisation.
