Ash Wednesday Service

This year Ash Wednesday is being held on Wednesday 14th February 2024, during half term.  Therefore, we held our service on Friday 9th February at school.

Parents and carers were told in advance about the special observance being conducted by Revered Donald during the service and asked whether they would like their children to receive the sign of the cross on their foreheads.

After a reading by two Year 6 pupils, those pupils with permission, staff and family members were invited to the front of the hall to receive the Ash sign, marking the beginning of the Lent season.

Thank you to all the families who joined us for our Ash Wednesday service.  It was amazing to see the number of learners participating in the ash cross markings performed by Reverend Donald.
