Outdoor learning

Over the last 2 years, the PFA have improved our natural thinkers outdoor learning area, including securing funds from local businesses to revamp our pond area and create a forest area, consisting of a tunnel and 3 seating areas.

This summer holiday, our hard working PFA funded the latest addition to our natural thinkers outdoor learning area.  Using an area on the edge of our playing field which was on a slope and therefore restrictive in its usage, the area was levelled out.  There is now a sandpit area, another seated area, a mud kitchen and an activity area for pupils to extend their learning outside.

Pupils in Year 1 very much enjoyed exploring the new area. They role-played in the mud kitchen cooking their food, and then collaborated to create new ways to move between the crates and the tyres.

They are looking forward to using the sandpit area!
